What a bargain. This small beachfront resort run by the Andrieu family is charming, peaceful, and English-speaker friendly. There are better beaches nearby, but waves washing onto the adjacent sand produce a soothing noise for napping or reading under one of the palm trees. Consider reserving one of the bungalows, since rooms in the main building are rather small. Either way, you’ll be comfortable, because every room is airconditioned and equipped with a TV, phone and mini refrigerator. Decor is simple, with tile floors, bright island colors and wicker furniture. Hubert Andrieu oversees the kitchen and turns out wonderful French and Créole cuisine. His wife, Marie-Yvonne, tends to hotel administration. Together they are a dynamic team with a fine knack for service and hospitality.
